I AM LISTENING TO LEONARD COHEN

I put it on
before I went to bed
last night.

The power apparently surged
because when I awoke
my stereo was off.

But the sad slow music
of the great Leonard Cohen
played on.

Even when no one is listening,
when everyone has gone on
with their lives,
Leonard Cohen's music
still plays.

Years after Leonard Cohen
will sadly pass from life,
his music will continue...
